As seen in the MSU video - when we come together as a community to create a better world for us all - we can accomplish amazing things! In my community, I hope to see continued outreach and support for our agricultural community to become more sustainable. Grants go a long way!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use

Oh....this is a major problem that I have (food dates). I have a bit of anxiety around food safety, so I always throw food out if it is more than a week or two past the best use by date. This is an area I definitely need to work on and I am glad that I went to the USDA to learn more.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

My daughter encouraged us to get out and take a long lunch walk yesterday in preparation for Earth Day! It is amazing what some time outdoors can do for your energy!
