This article made me feel hopeful that I can continue to enjoy steaks without [as much] guilt. Fascinating story on feeding biochar to cattle... https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200206-can-charcoal-cut-cows-methane-to-fight-climate-change

We're coming up on week 2 of the challenge. Is there an activity you've been planning to do that you can accomplish this week?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

The overall population of the planet requires family planning education for both women and men. If we don't give women in particular the skills, knowledge and power to control if/when they have children, we will not be able to ensure a sustainable future.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Action Track: Accelerating Solutions
How can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?

It's important that virtual meetings are conducted with the same respect and consideration as an in-person meeting, allowing each person to be heard and all ideas considered. That also means adequate time needs to be allotted for the meeting so they aren't cut short before everyone can fully participate.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Action Track: Accelerating Solutions
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. Why do you think that is?

In many cases, women are raising their families alone so the majority of their earnings has to go to feeding their children. There is no one else to do it. Women also recognize that it takes a village to thrive, so if they support the people who are supporting them, they will all rise together.
