What did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?

I was surprised to learn that refrigerators are a huge contributor to global warming or more specifically the refrigerants used in them, HFC's. Supermarkets have refrigerators that use HFC's to keep their products cool, but at the same time, the HFC's are trapping more heat in the atmosphere. It is good that different countries are trying to address the problem by using natural refrigerants like ammonium instead.

I am enjoying that there has been great weather during my walks and I'm honestly fine with the infrastructure of the path I took today.
