REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Lia Hayes 4/14/2021 7:24 AMBiases, work culture and organization, women's internal challenges, and a lack of leadership support are also obstacles to creating greater gender balance. Among the challenges identified in the report is refugee women's critical vulnerability, rising sexist hate speech and other forms of violence against women, attacks on women's reproductive health and rights, and reduced resources. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?
Lia Hayes 4/11/2021 3:28 PMWomen are healthier as a result of family planning, and they have more equitable opportunities to pursue an education, a job, and financial stability. With fewer children to support, families will be able to invest more in their children's health and well-being and they will gain more assets, property, and benefits. Fertility rates in different countries differ, therefore the needs for those countries will differ as well.
