What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

I am most concerned about how quickly we have been able to hurt the planet. Locally we can make conscious decisions to eat clean, use less plastics and cars and be aware of how we are affecting the planet. Globally we need to reduce waste and demand and look for ethical ways to source our food and everyday items.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Sinks Learn about Temperate Forests
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

    Gigi Greco's avatar
    Gigi Greco 4/20/2021 12:19 PM
The seriousness of global changes makes me more concerned about how I act. How bad the situation has got in such a short amount of time is very overwhelming. Many people seem to be interested in learning how to change or have changed their habits and that gives hope.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

    Gigi Greco's avatar
    Gigi Greco 4/19/2021 10:55 AM
When I eat foods that aren't sustainably sourced I am contributing to deforestation and the decline of our earth. I can decrease my negative impact by eating more plant based, clean foods.
