  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Climate Resilience Tend A Garden
Have you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.

Many times. A frequent thought I have (when in nature) is how insignificant humans are to the ecology of our planet yet we create a lot of environmental damage. (Regarding Gardening) as an environmental steward there is only so much I can do to make sure my plants can thrive, the rest is out of my control (weather).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

    Brooke Campbell's avatar

This is a skill that needs to be practiced. Our society teaches us to constantly consume and obtain "new" things without considering the implications it has on our environment. From fashion, electronics to household goods, I feel like buying something (new) should be a last resort instead of a norm.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Climate Resilience Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

(Grains, fruits and veg, pasture raised animal products/eggs) The Sacramento valley has so many options for consumers to utilize Farm CSAs and vendors at farmer's markets. Because of our location, we can choose to keep the money we spend on food (100% local).
