REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Support Local Food SystemsDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?
Yasmin Bhumgara 4/06/2021 5:57 PMSupporting local farmers. I live in a town which was originally farmland. We still have several family owned farms and supporting their business means supporting the community I live in. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Yasmin Bhumgara 4/06/2021 5:55 PMOther benefits include the obvious, which is health benefits, cooking in small portions means food lasts longer this saving on energy, less dirty utensils to clean, which saves water.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Yasmin Bhumgara 4/05/2021 6:58 PMIt was very informative and an eye opener. Reading this article will definitely empower me to throw or discard with caution and upon spoilage only. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Support Companies Leading in Green EnergyEvery dollar you put into solar or wind is a dollar not put into traditional financial institutions. You'll also be bolstering the fossil fuel divestment movement, too. Name some companies you know that invest in green energy. How can you support them?
