REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Beatrice Andrews 4/19/2021 8:04 AMI made a moss habitat. it has tiny plants growing from it. its doing ok. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Beatrice Andrews 4/12/2021 8:20 AMmeat has good protein, but eating a lot of it is bad for our health and our world. animals are mistreated by people looking for a quick way to raise them for food. we are also omnivores, and fruits and vegetables should be consumed by us too. that's the definitions of omnivore. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Beatrice Andrews 4/12/2021 8:13 AMThe wetlands near my house are awesome. the area changes drastically every time it rains, and wildlife flocks there constantly. There's a big snapping turtle that comes to lay her eggs once every year, and when the rain creates miniature ponds and such, ducks and other birds come there to swim. It's so cool that I get to live right near there. once, we even saw a male deer there. -
